Public Hearing Notice

At the March 8, 2011, meeting of the Board of Education, the District’s Five-Year Facility Plan
was discussed. Part of that plan includes the possibility of phasing out P.B. Ritch Elementary as
a facility housing elementary students. The rationale for this decision was based on the current
condition of the facility and budget considerations.

Prior to any facility being phased out, there are legal guidelines that must be addressed. First and
foremost are two public hearings. The purpose of these hearings is to provide information and
engage our community before any final decision is made.

Please know that these hearings will not impact P.B. Ritch for the 2011-2012 school year. P.B.
Ritch will continue to serve students next year. Both public hearings will be held at the Paulding
County School District Office located in Dallas, Georgia at 3236 Atlanta Highway. The dates
and times of the meetings are listed below.

Tuesday, March 22, 2011 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 31, 2011 6:30 p.m.

Additionally, written feedback can be provided via email to pbritch@paulding.k12.ga.us or by
U.S. mail to:

There's a BoE meeting on March 29th. According to the website it's a "Board work session/budget."

Their website does not say what time any of these events will start.

Not sure but I think there is a meeting on the 22nd at 8:30. I found out that the Traditional Math we are hearing about is not the Math we had in High School. It is still Integrated Math with a little different packaging. Not worth the fight is my opinion.

I sick and tired of this crap. I'm convinced we have those in elected office that want us to become a third world nation.
