Prayer requests

Some of you have heard, but it appears thar "She who adores me" had a TIA this morning. That's a transient mini stroke. She is at Cobb Hospital now and they will keep her overnight. Her tests all indicate she will be fine, but they want to watch her to make sure and possibly put her on a medication.

This situation with her parents is just eating her up inside, the stress is no doubt what caused this.

That is indeed good news, given the circumstances. You take care of that eye too. I'm sure Guard Daughter is all over it as we speak. Let her help. Your family is in our hearts.

Glad to hear tests are all good. Stress can be very harmful. Pay attention to what ltd said...take care of your eye also.

Update -

They are keeping Donna overnight and running an MRI now, So far the tests indicate little or no damage. Hoping she can bust out tomorrow. Her speech is back to normal.

My guess is that they will put her on some preventative meds.

They think she had a TIA. See link below. One good thing about these is that they can be a warning of real strokes to come so we can take preventative measures.

The situation with her parents has had her under tremendous stress, and that is undoubtedly the main factor behind this. That is what it is and we'll just have to deal with it.

Thank you, my friends, for your prayers and well wishes. They help.

Update on "She who adores me": She went to her regular doctor today. It appears that residual effects are mild and the doctor feels like those will go away with time. She will be seeing a neurologist as well. The big goal for now to to prevent any more strokes from occurring.

As I have mentioned, the situation with Donna's parents have had her under terrible stress, and the doctor confirmed that this is the root cause, and that we have to make changes to get this stress off Donna. This is easier said than done, but we have to find a way.

Thanks again for all your prayers and for all the offers to help. This has been made worse because I can't drive to to my recent eye surgery, but friends have been lined up to carry us where we needed to go. The Baptist women even been bringing us food. Everyone has been just wonderful.

Sounds like great news. Love the way the church surrounds their members with help.

Great news. One thing about the Baptists, if you have a family emergency, you at least won't go hungry. I'm glad she's on the mend.

"She who adores me" seemed to feel much better today; she was up and doing things, seemed to have more energy and was "chipper". She even insisted on making me breakfast. Guard Daughter took her to the eye doctor today; doc said she didn't see any damage from the stroke and gave her a new prescription. They did some light grocery shopping and survived WalMart.

I take that as good news.

Update-

"She who adores me" is feeling much better. She insisted on doing some housework yesterday, in spite of me telling her not to, and we went out to eat BBQ last night. She's out getting her hair did today, so that's definitely a sign of normalcy with her.

Blood pressure is good since getting her on medication for it. Might not even need it once all this is behind us. This whole thing is due to stress.

One of her sisters has found a memory care facility that is looking very promising. The hurdle now will be to convince their father to go along with it, which is not going to be easy. But we're all gonna go see him and try to make him realize it's necessary.

So there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks again for all the prayers and well-wishes.
