Please tell the me the driver will be charged with murder. This ain't the state trooper's fault

Captain Rhett Butler

Driving Instructor
“PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A 12-year-old was the victim of a high-speed chase that ended in a crash that killed him. Leden Boykins was a passenger in a car driven by a neighbor, who was being chased by Georgia State Patrol Troopers early in the morning on September 10.”

I'm sure the reverend Jesse Jackson and his gansta posse will soon be here protesting the murder of a child by the po-po. Benjamin Crump will win a jackpot for himself and the victim's family will get a new pair of Air Jordan's.

Yes, the driver should definitely be charged. He apparently refused to cooperate with the cops and drove off at high speed and recklessly.

As for the cops, I'm sure an investigation will be done to make sure they acted properly.

Horrible outcome. He did not produce a license because he had none, so he chose to flee, then blamed the police. I think there will be more to the story. Why was his license suspended in the first place?

Not sure what else the police should do since he was speeding as he fled.

Again, another story of non-compliance and someone gets hurt.

Two things:
1) The rear seat passenger was unrestrained and suffered fatal injuries,” police said. (He should be charged with that, the child should have had a seat belt on.)

2) Moore faces charges including murder during the commission of a felony, first-degree homicide by vehicle and aggravated assault against a peace officer. He was also was charged with DUI, having an open container in a motor vehicle and driving on a suspended license, police said.

I bet it sucks to be a cop in cases like this. The cops probably acted entirely properly; the fact that more than one was involved and that they were on the radio pretty much guarantees they were following procedure.

Yet a child died and the cops involved will feel the pain of that. They are human beings too.

Sad story, 100% preventable. Obey the law and don’t be a jackarse when pulled over.

Told ya so....nothing will ever shut them up
Yep, Moore is the one that should be charged with the child's death... his actions of not opening the window because he had no license and then leaving the scene are the reason this child is no longer alive.

Accountability of the criminal Moore... too bad the grandmother let her grandson go with a Moore.

Can't blame our protectors of our laws for enforcing our laws.

Moore is charged with 32 crimes including murder. -As he should be.

Even in today's world I don't think the troopers will be charged. This is a text book case of denial, misdirection and attempted extortion. I saw the "protesters" on the news. It was a very small group of which I believe over half were family. Their chief "bitch" was that the perpetrator was on the phone with 911 stating that there were children in the vehicle while the chase was going on so the officers knew about the danger. The fact is the perp was on the phone with Paulding 911 who was not directly in contact with GSP who were the pursuit officers. The GSP officers who performed the pit were not aware of who all was in the car. Even if the officers were aware it does not change the fact that the responsible party was the driver who chose to break the law, flee and put the public (and passengers) in danger. If precedent was set to hold the officers responsible you can bet every thug around who decides to break the law would have a minor in the car as a shield. These thugs could care less about collateral damage they are out to save their own sorry asses.
