People who assault the elderly...

An 84-year old Thai man was killed in one of these assaults in Oakland. The left is claiming this retaliation against Asian-Americans because Trump called the "Chinese virus" then later to "China virus." I've watched several of the videos showing these attacks and noticed something they all had in common - the assailants were all black. These assaults and robberies are not new, as black thugs have been attacking and robbing in their communities Asian store owners for decades. Once again a social problem is being politicized by the left.

BTW I have yet to see a single news story about these assaults describing the assailants in any way other than they are young.

These type of crimes, the penalty should be life in jail or death.

No elderly person can sustain a brutal attack. Broken bones in elderly lead often to death in the end. My neighbor 25 years ago told me, "The first fall is the beginning of the end." Then I watched it happen around me. It bore out as true.

Falls come with being bedridden if a hip or femur breaks, then comes pneumonia and death. Mobility in the elderly is the difference between a quality life and a slow death. As a nation there should be outrage at these thugs hurting even one citizen who is above 60. With a severe penalty to the assailant- death. Otherwise this shit will continue.

I will say the same thing was going on in New York a few years ago, it was called "knockout" but they hit anyone, with death or great physical damage often as the outcome.

We watched it happen to my mother. She was a severe diabetic and bone cancer had ravaged her body, then she took a fall resulting in a broken femur. The doctors put an "pin" in but it got infected and she never recovered. The pin and the subsequent infection was just too much for her body to handle. While it's true the outcome would have been the same with or without the pin, it may have sped the process by a few days, weeks, or months. She was tired of fighting and was tired of the pain. As bad as it sounds the fall may actually have been a blessing for her, she was ready for peace.

I often worry about elderly people at grocery stores walking out to their cars late at night. I try to watch them to make sure nobody bothers them and that they don't need assistance.
