Kemp: $1.1 billion in Georgia tax refunds begins this week

Special state income tax refunds paid out of Georgia's historic budget surplus will begin this week, but may not all be paid out until early August. Gov. Brian Kemp announced the start of the $1.1 billion refund plan Wednesday.

Wow ... our governor is going to act like he will return money to help us with our increasing cost of fuel... of course the easy way would be to discontinue the $1.50 something a gallon tax.
 
Kemp says the refund is a response to inflation, saying in a statement Wednesday "we are doing what we can to provide relief by returning their money back into their pockets."

Economists, though, say a burst of state tax cuts nationwide will actually push up inflation by putting more money into circulation.

Did you get an actual paper check or a direct deposit? I had to pay this year and sent in a paper check, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to wait a while.

Certainly happy to get money back, but if you think about it, a flat $500 per is not fair. SOme people pay in a lot more taxes than others.

Take cptlo, for example, he's probably in the very highest tax bracket. :)
 
Speaks absolute volumes on the lack of character of the former POTUS. I am sorry I have never had nor will I ever have any respect for this guy. He is the sorest loser I have ever seen. The poster boy for taking his ball and going home if he doesn't win. He has thrown every one of his supporters under the bus when they show any signs of weakness. Perdue deserves to have his ass handed to him in the primary.
