Paulding County Juvenile Court has a contract position available for indigent defense counsel. The position is effective October 1, 2019.The advertised position involves representing indigent parents and/or children in dependency actions typically involving the Department of Family and Children Services and/or private dependency actions. The contract attorney will be required to be available in court all day on Tuesdays, several Thursdays per month as well as any other days used for special set hearings which may include termination of parental rights hearings, adjudicatory and dispositional hearings, etc. The salary for the advertised positon is $40,000 per year.
