OK, this one I had to put down before I could finish the forward.

I mentioned once I start a book, I have to finish it.
What I didn't say was...that it sometimes takes me a long time finish the book.
Occasionally for whatever reason, I have to stop reading the book and come back to it later.
It may be that I just finished reading a book that was not well written and doing two in row is too much or it could be that my frame of mind is not as conducive to the information that the book is about as I thought it was, the book may be to deep and require to much thought and I need something lighter or whatever the reason.

The book I started on last night is like that, but even more so.
First let me say that I love reading and studying about the JFK assassination. I have been doing so for over 40 years, 41 to be exact.
I can say without fear of being too wrong, that outside someone who is paid to study it, you will never meet someone who has read more about that subject, has more books about that subject and not trying to be boastful, knows more about that subject.
I mean I eat it up.
(think Kate Micucci, but with 40 yrs of time spent on it)

Anyway, last night I started on a book I haven't read yet, even though it came out some time ago, Me & Lee: How I Came to Know, Love and Lose Lee Harvey Oswald by Judyth Vary Baker.
This is supposedly the story of a lady who had an affair with Oswald and "knows" the true story about what happened.
I made it through 3 pages of the forward and I couldn't take it any more.
I knew when I started this book that the author was a lier but I was still willing to read her tall tales.
And I still am, just not at this time.
I can see that I have to adjust my mind and thinking when reading this book.
I need to look at it as a total work of fiction and not as anything that could be remotely true.
I will give it another shot when I am ready to do that.

I wonder if MrB has read it?

He would rival you in knowledge regarding this case. No joke, I doubt no one is as into. JFK assignation as he is. We even took a trip to Dallas several years ago *just* to tour all the related sites including all of LHO's and related residences (the boarding house, his double story home with Marina where the gun pic was taken, Mrs. Payne's house), school book depository & Dealy Plaza, the Texas Theater, Parkland hospital. And others I'm sure, but I have forgotten. We even drove out of Dallas to somewhere but I forget where. It was really interesting. Of course most of this was drive by, since those homes are occupied.

Just hang in there a few more days and TNM will release in ebook....or do you not read ebooks?

Interesting thought about forewords. Dr. Karen Ruskin was gracious to write the foreword for TNM after I saw her speak about the subject on "Your World with Neil Cavuto" and she did a fabulous job. Only thing is it is 22 pages long. Not taking anything away from the content of her writing, but the publisher called me and asked to include it as an Afterword instead of a Foreword. He said most people would rather not read through 22 pages of anyone's foreword before they get to the story. She agreed and I think it was a good decision.

.....just a few more days! :DN ::happyfloggindance::

I would love to talk with MrB.
I made the trip to Dallas back when the city was still having emotional issues with the assassination, no tour of the Book Depository, no one would talk about it, nothing.
Does MrB thing it was a lone assassin or a conspiracy?
I'm betting he says the latter.

I'm betting he says the latter.
The latter, of course. He watches and rewatches documentaries on this subject constantly. YouTube has a plethora of them.

If hasn't already read it, he needs to read Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy by Vincent Bugliosi.
It is not a cheap book, but it is over 1,600 pages of some of the best information and logical interpretation of the assassination I have ever read.
It deals with facts and not what ifs.
He and I have to get together one day.

He has, we have that monster. Lol

He tried to read the Stephen King book on JFK, but he couldn't - he can't read fiction.

(Speaking of Vincent Bugliosi, have you read "And the Sea Will Tell"? So good!)

They need to hurry! My dad is driving me bonkers with repeatedly asking me when it'll be released. (Remember he has early stage dementia, and his memory issues are a little worse now than when he was first diagnosed) Anyway, I want to be able to tell him that it's been released so he can read it. :)

11/22/63... I just finished this book last month.

Great story, probably Stephen King's best work.
