New England ice cream brand quietly drops name after cancel culture takes aim

Even the liberal Snopes cannot confirm it's racist by having a tie-in with Jim Crow. I guess their saying Jim Crow laws were called "jimmies?" The cancel culture is definitely making stuff up and seeing how much they can get away with. This is why businesses should not cave into them. The more they do, the more empowered and bolder the cancel culture crowd will become. Businesses can shut these clowns down by not caving in to them.

Look at what happened a few years ago, when they tried to shut Chik-fil-a out calling for a national boycott because the company didn't donate to homosexual causes. That very next day almost every Chik-fil-a had three to four times the business they normally did. The company still doesn't give money to homo causes and they are thriving.

Goya is another example of a company refusing to give into the cancel culture and still making profits. So is My Pillow. The problem today is we have a society run by too many wussies.

I think this might be a case of a company trying to fly under the radar. By making a name change, that some thought was based on Jim Crow, they could avoid the negative publicity caused by the mere accusation of racism. A simple accusation in the MSM in this day and age could be very costly, why take the chance. Now they have a different problem on their hands.

Our old rival high school changed their name from the "Redskins" to the "Raptors".

I had to remind my cross-town friends that we'll continue to kick your ass in football no matter what your woke administrators name your sorry football team.

The ice cream company isn't flying under the radar with this in the news.
