There are 538 electorial votes, 535 equaling each state's congressional delegation plus 3 from DC. Maine and Nebraska apportion their votes according to the popular vote in those states. All other states are winner take all.

There could be a scenario where just one voter in Grand Island, NE tilts the whole election.

True. My numbers above have a few states still in the toss-up category.
 
I hope you're right GD but I'm afraid it will be much closer that the polls are currently showing. You can count on some fuzzy math and Chicago politics to affect the final numbers.

My prayer is that he wins, I don't care if it's by one electoral vote. But I want it to be a clear cut victory. None of that 2000 discrepancy stuff.

I don't care how he wins, just as long as he wins.

I've still seen some say Romney could win the popular vote and lose in the electoral college.
