My almost Irish dinner

We had pork chops, mashed potatoes, fried cabbage (funny story there) and Irish Soda Bread (which I had never made before).

I forgot about the cabbage over the weekend, so I sent the guys to the store for some cabbage. I usually bake mine or put it on the grill, and it's delicious! They said Kroger was COMPLETELY sold out of heads of cabbage, so they came home with a bag of pre-cut cabbage. Well, that meant it was time to punt. So, we fried the cabbage. It was yummy, but I think I prefer mine baked.

The soda bread was "interesting". Looked like a big ole biscuit. It was very heavy. Didn't taste too bad, but not sure I'd do it again. The boy didn't like it at all.

What'd you have for an Irish dinner?

We had fish and a nice pasta salad with broccoli and tomato.

(I forgot about St. Patty's when I was out grocery shopping last week,
but I will probably make my famous Sheperd's Pie for Sunday Dinner...)

I did find a box of fun stuff from my Savannah days in the closet yesterday
and dressed the Baby Bunny up like a tiny Leprechaun to surprise Daddy...

It was hilarious watching a crazy two foot tall green girl run across
the yard to greet my husband... laughing and screaming all the way.

The dinner sounds yummy! And I bet the site was absolutely hilarious and precious! :love

Awwwwww! SO CUTE! You must share pictures, LOL!

Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and sweet tea for me, and a country ham biscuit, fries and a diet coke for MrB from Bo-hang-les last night. I was not cooking, and Bojangles next to the RaceTrack and I needed gas, lol. So Irish and healthy to boot.
