Meet My New House

Waski_the_Squirrel

Resident of the least visited state in the nation.
I'm finally done with the house. Here are some pictures both inside and out. There are 672 square feet upstairs and 400 and some downstairs. I need to finish the trim work and would like to put in curtains that fit the windows, but what is up will work for now: for the sake of privacy. They're curtains from my old rental.

Here it is (with the house number excised). It is an old granary with 1 or 2 additions.

When you go into the front door, this is your view of my living room.

And this is a view to the bedroom.

And then the other direction in the living room:

And here are the two doors into the bedroom. The one to your right will become a built-in bookshelf in the next year or two, once I get ambitious enough:

Check out the awesome kitchen. You can just see the new kitchen table. I would like to do some finishing in the soffit area, but leave it open like this because I like the storage area.

Here is a nice but narrow bathroom:

And here is the laundry room (in the basement). I kept the wood scraps from the previous owner to build up around the windows for when I put in the trim that is currently missing.

And with some fixing up, this will be my guest room. I'll take down the shelves and move the white cabinet. I also think I have enough laminate flooring that I might see if I can put it down. When I feel rich (and get the house paid off), I'll put in a proper egress window so I can claim I have 2 bedrooms if I ever try to resell the place.

Way cool!!! How cute is that house?!?!? That kitchen is truly grand. I love that. Also, the basement/laundry isn't scary! I definitely love that. ;) You are gonna love living here, I can just tell. It'll be great when spring gets here and you can see what all the plants are in the yard, too.

Congratulations!!!

Oh, yeah - is that your enclosed garage to the right in that first picture? I can't imagine living in that cold without a garage, although I'm sure many people do. BRRRRR!!!

Great Job, Waski! :CLAP

There is a LOT of satisfaction when you do the work yourself. I know it must feel great being nearly done with just the trim work left. It's all down hill from here, Bro :DN

Love it! I hafta to ask, though. Is that a Delta faucet on your bathroom sink? :Ninja
Are you channeling GD or something?
LOL No, I just happen to be fond of Delta. Haha
They keep a roof over my head so to speak.

A couple of the pictures aren't showing for me but I really like your kitchen. Nice house and I do hope you'll get much enjoyment out of it.

Good job Waski!! I know you will feel so comfortable in just a little while...........It's yours, all yours and nobody else's (well except maybe for the mortgage company LOL) Nice place!! Congrats!!
