This position is responsible for participating in the mechanical repair and maintenance of county vehicles and equipment.





**As part of the application for employment for a position which involves the performance of safety-sensitive functions as defined by 49, CFR Part 655, as amended, applicants must submit to a urine drug test under the authority of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration. Any offer of employment is contingent on the passing of the aforementioned drug test and an employee cannot be assigned to perform a safety-sensitive function unless a urine drug test has a verified negative result having no evidence of prohibited drug use. **



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
  • Sufficient experience to understand basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
