Anyone using one?

My husband is thinking about buying one to hook up to our new tv. He loves the idea of having a 40" monitor. lol He says we can stream things thru it. We are also taking some online courses and think it might be good for those too since we are doing them together we can just view them on the tv. A big plus for me is it can be fairly hidden in the shelves by the tv.

My laptop is about fizzled out and my Kindle Fire lacks in some areas of online things. He thinks this might be a good replacement for my laptop and fill in the gaps of my Fire.

I would love to hear your thoughts on it if you are using one or know anything about it.

Looks pretty slick. Apple puts out quality stuff. I am sure this would not disappoint. Since a lot of storage connects external these days, u should not have storage problems either.

I once considered a Mac Mini. They're pretty nice, and you don't have to buy a monitor at the same time (or, you could buy a monitor, but keep it to attach to the next computer).

I don't know your situation, but I can tell you why I didn't but the Mini or the iMac: I would love a big hi-res screen for editing pictures. I would love more hard drive space. However, I can't take a desktop machine with me. My current MacBook Air (a 2-year-old model) will travel with me. If I ever get rich, I'll probably buy a nicer laptop than this, but still get a laptop. However, if you don't need the machine outside your house, the Mini is a great machine, and much more reasonably priced than some other Apple offerings.

I had a grape iMac and I really liked it. I loved the keyboard. The keys were so close together and made the keyboard much smaller. I have never had another keyboard I liked better.

Pretty cool! And I'm sure it;s a quality piece of equipment.

I've never fooled much with Macs. We use some proprietary business software that is Windows only.

I've got a bunch of computer; several laptops and a bunch of desktops. Four laptops and two desktops just here at home, not to mention two Android tablets. Yes, I'm nuts.

What I really want is a new ultrabook. Maybe 13" or so with a 256 gig SSD. Man those things are sweet!

Ha! I think you and my husband might be related! At one time we had 6 computers. I know we could have had a nice country weekend home if it weren't for all the $$$ spent on electronics. lol
