Lumber prices plunge, Sherwood Lumber COO explains what's driving the decline

Kyle Little, Sherwood Lumber's chief operating officer, argued on Tuesday that the price of lumber was pushed to an “unsustainable price point and now we're seeing a little bit of pushback from the marketplace” as prices continue to drop from last month’s record high.

I hope it continues to drop. We should have the appraisal back by early next week on the pending land purchase with the higher projected costs built into the house plan pricing. Hopefully if things progress the actual price will be lower. I know, it’s a pipe dream but it doesn’t hurt to be hopeful.
