It will be interesting to see if some of these candidates come to the realization they cannot possibly come close to winning primaries and begin to drop out of the race. Some of them are stupid and narcissistic enough to believe they still have a shot at winning with single digit polling numbers.
At some point, but it's still early unless they are running single digits.

This could be a planned exercise by the democrats get more free publicity and get better polling data to select the ideal candidate with the best message for the run in 2020. 20 candidates get 5 times the publicity, (all of it left wing), than just 4 candidates will. Keeping them all in will allow them to slowly shift the fringe elements into the popular message, while keeping the total voter masses energized and continue to get large amounts of polling data.
If they are not taking big swipes at each other, they are not yet ready make a real push,,, watch to see when they go for each others throat!

A few weeks ago when we were in Branson, we went to a Motown Revue show. The cast did renditions of songs by Motown artists from the 60's and 70's. One of the performers mentioned on stage that he was running for President on the Democrat ticket. But, he was going to wait until the crowd had thinned out first before starting his campaign. All of us in the audience thought he was joking, as he told several jokes during his set. But after the show, the performers all met with audience members in the lobby, and this guy told me he was serious about running for President. So, be on the lookout for a singer/comedian to join the fray later on in the campaign.
