Ideas Needed -> Office Christmas Party

I've been trying to come up with ideas for this, but struck out.

After being laid off last Feb, I've been working out of my home office for the past few months as a contract programmer.

In the past the folks in office I worked at would always have a Christmas party. Being self employed, I'm the only one here, but I'm not a good planner of parties. Time is running out and I need some ideas.

Help!

Not sure I understand.........how many folks are ya gonna have?? A meat and cheese tray from Sam's or Kroger is always a good thing. They have veggie trays, too. Or you can get some pizza and the sides from Pizza Hut. Their Alfredo Chicken is very yummy.

You can do a Mexican theme with tacos, salsa and cheese dip.

Drinks are up to you, coffee, sweet tea and soda...........unless you want to have alcohol. Margaritas are always a hit or just some wine and beer.

Hope this helps cause I really don't know what you're looking for. :)

I think a party for one would be real easy to plan. Especially if you are the one! You would not even have to worry about a designated driver because you could drink what you wanted and stay right where you are.
:)) ;D :)

I'm the type of person that could appreciate a party for one. Since my work hours are opposite of DW's work hours and DD's college hours, I'm alone half the time anyway. Well, except for Marty and Bella, but they are dogs and have difficulty carrying on conversations. ::)

Drape some lights (I am partial to BLUE) across your desk, computer, etc. Fix yourself a nice, warm drink of some sort and watch a Christmas movie on your computer monitor.

That sounds as good as any Christmas party I've ever attended. ;D

Just trying to dig up some fun here :D. . . It indeed would be a party for one . . .

A Sam's cheese tray might be a little much, bit a few cheese crackers and a Slim Jim would be good.

A warm drink might be nice, but there would be no time to sober up before 'coming home' from the office.

Maybe a gift exchange. I can bring something special and tell the wife I got it in the office gift exchange.

Any other ideas for a one person Christmas Party? ;D

I think the gift you provide for the gift exchange should be FABULOUS! Don't skimp. Push the budget!

OK, now I feel really dumb.............I thought you wanted to invite some clients. (blush)

Party of one isn't much fun, but the possibilities are endless. LOL

No problem. I realized later I wasn't clear enough in my OP.

Just trying to have a little fun here.

I wonder if somebody will spike the punch.
