SD, Bev said she got the chairs on beachmall.com 8)

Thank you for asking!

No problem. She found other that were similar and probably more comfortable on another site, but they were in the $150.00 range. These are a little better than Wal-Mart quality, but serve the purpose she was looking for....and about half the price of the real fancy ones.
I am going to go with that first too. I want to see if I like it and really use it a lot. I figured if I really do I can get the more expensive one when this one gives out. :))

I think that's the way to go. We really set up camp when we go to the beach. The way we got started was going down with her parents the first year we were married. They don't go down anymore because of the distance. Frankly, I'm surprised they ever went since they never went down to the beach. FIL just sat in the condo all day until time to leave for the early bird special at the local seafood restaurants.

Now WE are a different story. We set up camp at the beach no later than about 10:00 and stay until mid to late afternoon. To me there's nothing like the beach to help me "get away" from the real world... 8)

Totally understand! I can sit on the beach for hours. A good book, the ocean in the background, perfect. I hope you and Bev enjoy yourself!

(I am laughing at the in-laws and the early bird special! :)) My in-laws do the same. They will go to the beach, but when it gets close to time for the early bird anyone within hearing distance hears the shouts of,"Let's go we have to get ready for dinner!!!!" Lord save you if you are not ready when they are.)

I am sad to say we won't get to visit Daytona this year :(

That's just not right RNG. Sorry for that. Maybe a long weekend is possible. :'(

I know right Shed! sad sad times! With kiddo getting ready to leave for college in August we probably won't have time for a vacation this summer or can afford one. We may try to slip away in September but not sure yet.

I'm usually setup and ready on the beach by 9am. Go in for early lunch. Then back out until 5 or 6. Of course everyone else is trying to get ready to go out for supper but I go in reluctantly kicking and screaming. Dang all this beach talk has me ready. Thank goodness St. Simons Island is a few weeks away. :CLAP :CLAP :CLAP :CLAP :CLAP

Yet another way I am weird. I love the beach - LOVE IT - but I have no desire to sit on the beach during mid-day hours. I go out 8-10ish, come in, take a nap, read a book, eat lunch/supper, hit the little shops, and then go back out around 7-9ish. And I mostly walk...sometimes I sit, but I love to walk on the beach. If I'm familiar with the area, I'll walk at night. I also love the beach in the winter, and hate it in the summer. :sittingherebeingweird:

I love to walk the beach at sunrise and sunset no matter what time of year! I do love to read a book listening to the waves though. It is great!

Oh love that!!! Did you know that while walking on the beach, if you put your ear up to a strangers calf, you can hear him say "Hey!!!! WTF are you doing?!?!?!?!?".

Really? Is that the response you get? Sorry.
I usually hear more along the line of, "How you doin?" :inmybestJoeyTribbianivoice:

I am fortunate to live soo close to the beach. I can get morning, noon, or night beach time year round!! Although, all these damn tourist are starting to roll in for the season :tapfoot2. LOL, j/k. It's great for the local economy here since these sleepy little beach towns basically shutdown during off season, so from around May - Sept is when the locals bank most of their money :suntn

Hmmm...I would have expected him to say, "Mooo."
