Yes, I know hate is not a pretty word.
Mrs. Mac has been here since last Fall. I arrived mid_March. We've since made two discoveries:
1. The sound insulation for both walls and between floors is poor at best. This has been confirmed by a couple of folks I see in the little gym they have here.
2. The lady upstairs works nights doing her own little business. The baby daddy travels a lot.
Tuesday night, the woman was up walking around about 1:30AM. This kept up until about 4AM.
Last night, I heard walking and items being moved around starting at 12:30AM. This kept up, and actually got worse around 3:30-4AM. Then about 4:15, the bed starts to creak in a rhythmic fashion - take note further in my story. Luckily, Mrs. Mac slept through most of it, until the bed creaking. Said bed is apparently directly over where we sleep.
This afternoon, I decided to have a friendly (not being sarcastic) chat with the neighbors. Went up, knocked, waited a few minutes, and a gentleman answers the door. With boxers on, and a towel draped across his shoulder. Tells me they are trying to stay quiet, some of the steps they have taken, and that he got in about 4AM - after being on the road for about 3 weeks.
So, now we know why the bed was creaking. And, about 3 weeks ago, we had another all night night session - with bed creaking. Last time, it lasted for nearly an hour. This morning, only about 20 minutes.
Yes, I am so ready to get out of here.
