Great book!

Has anyone read "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb? I read this many years ago and really liked it, but had forgotten how wonderful it really is. I recently read it again, and it had a very different impact on me at this age.

It's sort of a coming of age story about a woman, Dolores. It follows her from childhood up until about 40, and is just an amazing story. I was so touched by this character; her struggles, successes, and finally her discovery of peace and happiness. (I can't quite think of words to describe this, this forgive the language, lol)

Has anyone read it??

I really wish I had more time to read. I need to get back to it, but writing and editing has taken up most ALL of my free time that I used to set aside from reading. And to think I used to HATE reading books :laugh

What you describe is typically not the type of stories I look for, but since you mention Dolores, it reminds me of one of my favorite movies: Dolores Clayburn. Was that a book before they made the movie? :dunno

Sounds interesting. I may have to look for that one. :)

:thumbsup It is worth reading. The other Wally Lamb ones are too, I can't think of the names off the top of my head.

Wait...maybe I did not like one. Well, now I have to go Google. :))

Madea, it is a wonderful book!! I love it!

This is the book that made me love Wally Lamb. I have read everything of his, and this is by far the best. I've always said that about "I Know a this Much is True," but I change my mind. There is one Lamb book I didn't care for, I forget what it was called. It was almost identical to IKTMIT and seemed to be just written to please his publisher.

Yeah, I read the undone book awhile back. I wasn't familiar with the author, but liked the book pretty well. I was happy with her outlook by the end of the book.
