Don't look now...

Wake me up after Trump signs it and the ink dries. I've been conditioned not to have any confidence in either branch of either party before the bell rings and the food drops into the bowl.

Wake me up when I do my taxes in 2019 and have actually seen them go down. There is so much misinformation out there from both sides on this bill it's crazy.

The only good thing about the GOP is that they are not Democrats. That's the only reason I voted for any of them.

The bill is something like 200 pages and doesn't fully repeal the current tax code, not even close. In other words, since regulation usually requires about ten times the verbage and minutiae that legislation requires, instead of simplifying the tax code they just added 2000 pages to it.

Look for lots of special interest crap to remain and some to be added. This is the second largest disappointment behind the fact that it won't be paid for through spending cuts. The idea of tax reform is to end carve outs to pay for permanent across the board marginal rate cuts. The corporate side is really the only effective thing they did here. Temporary trick middle class cuts that sunset shouldn't be here

Yeah, the bill isn't ideal but I've pretty much given up on them actually cutting spending so I'll take this and be happy since it'll save me some money.

7 years of tax cuts is better than zero years of tax cuts... I'm happy about the mandate repeal.
Yes. The idiot Democrats are looking at the rise in the last two years back to current law on some individual deductions and calling that a tax increase. Their drooling followers are buying it. If I told you that for no work whatsoever, I would pay you $2000 next year and for the next six years after that, and then $1500 in year 8, $1000 in year 9, and nothing following, would you take that deal or not? Would you take it even if I got $3000, $2000, and $1500 respectively? Would you still take it if Trump got $10,000 every year? Of course you would. The Democrats are selling a pig in a poke.

At this point, I think the Democratic Party could tell their constituents that gravity was created by the evil rich to hold poor people down, and they would take it as gospel.

I see little or no effort from the average loyal Democrat to even try to think with their own minds or to check or verify what the party tells them.

To be fair; the GOP has their sheeple too. But the everyday loyal Democrat takes the prize for being the most brainwashed and ignorant of the people in this country.

I find it truly saddening that any Americans would allow themselves to be so blindly led.

You are absolutely correct the loyal Democratic Party voters are brainwashed. We see that on a daily basis on another site as they blindly believe anything their party leaders put out there.

I heard a liberal the other day say the rich got a bigger tax break than the middle-class. When I pointed out they got a 1% reduction in their rate, they came back with, "that 1% equals a lot of money." I told this person that the top 1% of income earners pay 45% of the taxes the feds collect. "Is that all?" was the reply. This person also started complaining the lowest bracket of earners didn't get a tax reduction. I told this person that they didn't need to get a reduction because they already get back everything that was deducted from their paychecks for federal income tax. This person said they should get more back. I told them they did as most of them collect food stamps and from other social welfare programs.

Up to $1400 of the child tax credit is refundable also. That means that Uncle Sugar can write those whose deductions exceed their income a big fat check.

I guess not all of us got the memo revealing we were owed money from the goobermint's teat for just being.

No, I didn't forget the last word(s) of the sentence, that was the ending in its entirety. Just being.

Check please!!!
