Resident of the least visited state in the nation.
That's it, I'm done learning Chinese.

I just learned that the Mandarin for "squirrel" is "song shu" (sorry, don't know how to do Pinyin or characters on the computer).

Translated literally, this means "Tree rat."

I'm going to have to switch to a language that gives squirrels the respect they deserve! Maybe with a name like "Tree angel" "Graceful tree jumper" etc.

Grandson is taking it in college. I will have to get his take on the demeaning of the squirrel. :dunno

A squirrel is just a rat with a furry tail. I speed up when I see one trying to cross the road.

There's nothing wrong with rats! I had two, and they were awesome.
Then I had a sugar glider, which was like a mix of a rat, bat, and squirrel. She was even more awesome, but I let a friend take her (she was slightly obsessed).

Pandas are my favorite animal, though (and not just because of the awesome person with the Panda avatar :taunt )

Mine too!!! They are delicious with a nice sweet and sour sauce. Same with rats and squirrels.
