I still need to do my claim for sleep apnea. That's an automatic 50% disability.

I meant to thank you earlier on your post about the Home Depot discount for service connected disabled veterans. You saved me about $20 last weekend. Thanks.

Yes, it can be. I will be posting info about some of the conditions that may be service related. Your welcome about the discount. Make sure to use it. There may be more discounts as well I'll have to check around.

Tried to get a claim back in 70 for ringing in my ears and sever anger issues over how we were treated (Dreamed of blowing away Jane Fonda and several hippie protestors) and loss of a girl friend while gone now called PTSD and was turned down at the VA in Nashville.

The anger issues went away after about 10 years of me being unsociable but the ringing never stopped. Finally went to the State VA office in Atlanta about 6 months ago but they wouldn't give me an appointment at the VA hospital.

Need a pair of hearing aids bad but don't care for the $2,000 - $4,000 charge. Good Nam vet friend of mine got an excellent VA hearing aid but no luck for me.

Maybe I should say I still got PTSD to get in the door and then ask for a set of hearing aids. LOL. Thank you very much

A study shows 69% of veterans with PTSD also have sleep apnea. BTW, I was denied my claim for sleep apnea as they said there was nothing in my medical records during service diagnosing it. I took a sleep study test two months after retiring and was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Any new diagnosis within 12 months after your last day of active duty is supposed to be considered service connected. I am filing an appeal.
