Did any of you local folks notice the new Paulding News and Views Magazine?

The first issue came out to all Paulding residents at the first of the month. It looks pretty clean and a far cry from the paper rags I get thrown in my driveway every week. It's a monthly publication and I believe it is affiliated with the Dallas New Era.

Loo for the September issue. They are doing a full article on the Grey Colson Crime Novel Series. I got the call on Tuesday

I'll read your article... and then I will shred it so the cats can use it as litter. That's for not putting the awesome IT guy in the latest novel...

Of course I am kidding.... or am I???

Well, you can't say I didn't use your name at least. :p Not talking about you, but I find it so interesting when I list the cast of characters on that liberal Face Plate. People who never respond to ANY of my posts about ANYTHING or like any of the posts about the book series and/or NEVER have purchased a book or given moral support in any fashion just come out of the woodwork and suggest I use their name.

I do this > :sarcastic:

I don't know what most authors do, but once I saw on Lee Child's web page where he was auctioning off a spot in one of his books for charity. I thought it was pretty cool. Maybe I'll do that one day for these near-do-wells that complain when I don't offer to use their names. Just think....I could raise a whole $25 for The Hwy :laughbunny:

There was that character who constantly emitted noxious fumes. Was that based on Rollturd?

Thanks y'all.

It was nice for a change for a publication to actually want to write a story. It was a little strange because I didn't mention the part about the "round robin" internet story that I participated in. To be honest, I had forgotten about it at the time. But the writer knew about it. It took place on that other message board several years ago. I replied to the writer, "You seem to more about me than I realized." There's some kind of connection there, but I wasn't going to pry since they were kind enough to write the story. Best Press I ever had
