Democrats march toward another impeachment against Trump for deadly riot at Capitol

I'm thinking that guy you posted was correct. They got scared yesterday meeting the "people" and are wanting revenge or something.

Idiots. he's gone in less than 2 weeks.

There's one more possible fraud issue hanging out there, and if anything comes of it the Dems are afraid Trump will declare Martial law to buy some time.

This country is very divided as it is. If they impeach him; it will only make the division worse.

A Trump hater friend of mine claims to have inside info that Trump will be impeached and removed by next Thursday.

If true, these people have no idea what they are about to start. The Trump loyals will go to war. And I mean real war.

God help us!

I seriously doubt he'll be impeached. I believe the Senate has already said they won't start any deliberation on it until January 20 if it passes the House.

Can you imagine what it would be like in the streets if Trump got a second term?
But the news would never report on the liberal "mostly peaceful" protests....

Every third news story here is about the DC protest... turned riot...

I don't condone the violence, I do find it ironic that out of A YEAR of being terrorized by BLM, one day in DC the conservatives protest and it is reported on like the day the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor according to the liberal news... overplay their hand much?

Did even one BLM rioter who killed or bombed public, state, or federal property make the news or prosecution?

Here are just a handful of articles from one ABC local news station that they keep replaying:

UNITY POTENTIAL?

After the events at the Capitol Wednesday, a rare moment of bipartisanship occurred with the Electoral College certification process not being as contentious as originally thought.

Could this create a unique moment for Republicans and Democrats to come together and pass some bipartisan bills like economic aid or immigration reform?

"I think there is an opportunity. The lawmakers themselves who had to take cover realize this is an inflection point," White said.

District 53 Representative Sara Jacobs has had a whirlwind first week in office. She was sworn in last Sunday, braced for her life at the Capitol Wednesday, and on Friday, she co-sponsored articles of impeachment against the president.

“If we don’t take a stand against what he did it erodes our standing around the world to tell other countries that they need to uphold rule of law and democracy,” said Jacobs.

Democrats are swiftly moving to impeach while still reeling from Wednesday’s deadly attack on the Capitol.

A crap storm is coming. Even though the impeachment may not reach the Senate until the 20th; I've been reading the Senate will continue with it even though Trump would no longer be president. Democrats want to convict him so he can never run for office again.

That's just ugly and hateful.

I received an email from a woman I worked with to bring conventions to the city we lived in. She became a friend. Since we no longer live in the same city we email every few weeks. She is in her 90s, but sharp as a tack. She does city tours telling the local stories that make history come alive. She is very involved with the Republicans' Women's Association in her city. She sent me this:

I just talked to a friend that went on the Washington Trip. He said that he was on the bus when all the rioting started.

Some of the people that were on that bus that arrived late, said it looked like the police were opening the barriers and letting the people in. (that makes sense). Then he said all hell broke loose and there were the police, fire engines, and ambulance that all appeared about that time. He said they got out of town. There didn't seem to be any leadership about taking over the building. Maybe just people were tired of what had gone on.

He also heard Trump's speech and he said he doesn't think that it incited the people.

Well, I heard the speech too and it worried me. So now we hear that BLM and others drove up in bus loads and infiltrated the mob. Who knows, but he said that people are losing their jobs because they were there.

One of the policeman told someone that this was the biggest crowd they had ever seen in DC.

I am really afraid for our country it scares me to think what the democrats will do.

A friend of mine was there. He's a patriot having served 30 years in the Army and retiring as a Colonel. He was there with his girlfriend who left Venezuela a year or so after Chavez came into power. He said they were near the Capitol building when all hell broke loose. He said they couldn't see what was going on, but all of a sudden a bunch of police officers showed up. One of the officers started clubbing my friend in the head. All he was doing was looking around trying to see what the hell was going on.

Sounds like my friend's email to me, of her friend, who also went to D.C. that day. He was in a bus and did not get roughed up though.

Impeachment conviction wouldn't necessarily prevent him from running for office unless the senate imposes that sanction with a 60/40 majority in the trial. That would be highly unlikely.
