Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

Pretty much means they have active viruses being shed in their sinus areas. They have it.

Had a scare with Dad this morning, he wouldn't wake up. Was doing a little better in the afternoon, but this is going to be close.

Doesn't seem to be affecting mom a lot.

Myself, my wife and son took one of the rapid tests today, all came up clear, so we should be over it. (I took it so I could go to the home if dad was dying.) HOwever, they usually don't take the rapid test, so I'm taking another lab test friday. (earliest I could get an appt)

It doesn't seem to be nearly as bad as it was when it first hit. But a handful of people still get very ill from it.

The wife of a guy at one of my side jobs was in ICU with it last week. Not sure of her age but he's around 35 so I'd guess she's similar in age. Fortunately she's back home now but still has a good bit of recovery to go.

Most of the people at our hotels who have come down with it, it was not too much worse than 2 days of feeling miserable with bad body aches, fever with shaking chills, and a bad headache. Then by the 3rd day the fever, body and headache went away but they lost their sense of taste, and had cold like symptoms like a terrible stuffy head cold with fatigue for 3 to 4 more days.

One employee who just came back to work yesterday got hit hard with it. He has always been very fit with a nice muscular physique. Due to an underlying condition with his heart and high blood pressure he is diligent about eating well, working out, and taking care of himself. He was the one who was most afraid of getting Covid due to his health history, and he was hit the worst due to those underlying conditions.

He had 3 weeks in bed with the same arch of symptoms, but he struggled with the lungs and breathing and did not get better in the 3 to 4 days. He told me he was so weak he could hardly get up to walk the short distance to the bathroom.

His doctor said he needs to start walking every day to build his body's endurance back, but will be fine. He was never admitted to the hospital. His son was the one who got sick first and exposed him. His wife and other son remained covid free never testing positive.
 
Our oldest daughter told me that one of her business friends from Hiram is in ICU with it and has been in the hospital for 2 weeks now. He is in his early 40’s, she isn’t sure if he had other health factors.

I'm sure underlying illnesses tend to make it worse, but I think it's most just genetics.

Some people get it, some won't. Of the people who do get it, some have a mild case and others have it rough.

While medical science have identified some of the reasons for this, I think there is still much they don't know about it.

And yes, I still believe this is an engineered virus, and that we'll eventually learn that China intentionally coded it to eliminate people of certain traits. In time, I suspect some of these traits will make sense, at least looking at them from China's point of view. I think we'll find that there's a eugenics element to it.

I'm still tending to think it was their answer to 40 years of the 1 child program, where you had one couple trying to support 2 sets of parents and 4 sets of grandparents by themselves and couldn't so the govt was having to support everyone. They wanted to get rid of anyone that could cost them money and take it away from military programs.

Lets face it, Social Security could get another couple of years of solvency out of itself due to all those that won't be drawing on it. (Assuming of course that the real death rate in the country for last year actually goes up. - I've not seen any numbers for 2020 from anywhere yet)

Hard for me to believe this isn't under political control. Granted that the last two weeks *could* have been due to Christmas / New Year get togethers (as ours was, sound daughter NYD get together with friends to us to Dad/Mom) But I'm surprised to see it drop this fast will all the people out there not wearing masks.

The tin foil hate people are claiming the Democrats intentionally "sprayed" COVID in Georgia to keep voters away from the polls. That's hard for me to buy into without proof.

But it does appear that the election had a lot to do with it. Maybe all the people coming in from out of state. The left had armies working the ballot harvesting.
 
The WHO has issued new PCR testing guidelines that are expected to lower the number of reported positive cases by 30 percent. To be clear this does nothing to mitigate the actual number if Covid cases.

Biden is a freaking genius. Cuts the number of reported cases worldwide by 30 percent in his first day.

Update: I received word this morning that he passed away at 5am after about 19 days in the hospital. I’m not exactly sure of his age but I’m guessing 45 at most, he and his wife have young children. As far as I know he had no other health issues but my daughter and I agree that he looked different the last time we saw him which was about 6 months ago.
