This is an interesting news article about letters being received at homes and buisnesses across the country claiming to be from al Qaeda and claiming the terrorist organization has planted hundreds of nuke devices across the country.

I think the folks who investigate these things have decided that it is a hoax. I sure hope they are right!

The FBI is investigating it and that's the right thing to do because it may not be a hoax.

While it looks like this case is maybe most likely a hoax, but the
very idea of this kind of terrorist attack is not all that far fetched :

It would fit al Qaeda's strategy of stealth, extreme patience, and soft targets;
deisgned not necessarily to kill but as a psychological blow on our economy...

In other words... it appears to be a hoax this time,
but not totally outside the the realm of possible sceanrio.

I have read many reports of radioactive materials being
smuggled across the Mexican border over the last few years...

And I am well aware of the chemical weapons incinerator that is
located just over the Alabama border with winds that prevail west...

Kinda makes you think.
