Comcast keeps going up up up

I read an article years ago that said if you had cable, they knew they had you, and you would pay whatever they charged you.

The younger generation does not use cable, does not use a landline, instead using internet or their cell phone data plan to get movies and internet connection.

Those who kept it at that point they knew would bear the increase in cost, and not cut the cable or get rid of the house phone.

This is me. No cable tv, no satellite dish, no landline.
Instead: Cell Phone + internet connection + HD Antenna + Netflix

Why have cable television? So you can listen to propaganda ( CNN / MSNBC / Fox) and talking heads screaming at each other trying to advance their own agendas? No Thanks.

I have an antenna for HD broadcast television (college football on Saturdays).
We don't miss cable television in the least.

I haven't had cable since 2011. I had Direct TV, but I dropped it four years ago because they kept eliminating channels from the package we had. Our cell phone coverage at the house sucks, so we have internet through Windstream and a landline. The landline is for our home security system. For TV we use Roku. I had YouTube TV, which I liked until they raised the rate; so I dropped them.

I've got Dish Network which goes up $5 a year for no apparent reason, a land line for no apparent reason other than to hold our phone number pending fiber optic installation but it's not currently stable enough to get Uverse. We get our internet trough cell phone personal hotspot, which sucks. I've got a new indoor antenna that I haven't put up yet. From the looks of everyone's selection of products, whats really needed is a 200Mbit, unlimited data cellphone connection for cheap,,, or fiber optics into every home and pick what we want. Right now I have too few products to choose from.

If Musk can get his internet working right in this area, it will be good to have some competition for comcast. (ATT isn't competition unless you can get fiber... which isn't a lot of places)

I signed up to be notified. Heard a review from a guy in Oregon. He said it's quite fast, but prone to dropouts. But being all he had before was Hugesnet, he's happy.

I'd gladly beta test it here if he wants, because I've got little of nothing. Anybody have his personal number???

AT&T fiber is awesome. Very fast. Mine has been pretty reliable.

I take fiber every morning.

Make me poop really well.
