China's Economy Getting Worse

I think it could be a case of be careful what you wish for. Ford has already changed guidance for the quarter and the year since China is a huge market for US automobiles. That change alone caused their debt to be downgraded, costing them billions more in borrowing costs.

This makes me very curious of the timing of the GM strike. It seems to me that the UAW may be screwing the pooch here since GM is looking to downsize manufacturing in the US. They might just do something drastic should this go more than a month or so. It's really easy to "reorganize" under strike. Think Eastern Airlines. It could happen again.
