He shouldn't have been so greedy.Guess he figured out that LA isn't paradise no matter what the libs say.
He shouldn't have been so greedy.
No?Don't you just love baseball these days,
$62 million,,, you forgot Brandon's cut and Newsom's cut, and neither has fielded a popup or hit a home run!!! Yeah, Freddie has shed a few tears.Poor Freddy only making $162 Million...Do you think he'll be able to get by on that?
That's right. He had the final say on whether or not to accept the LA deal.Respect Freddie but the whole deal (or lack of) was his responsibility. He has buyers remorse and the ATL series brought it home. His douche bag agent really only got him an extra year on his contract. I kinda think his ole lady wanted to go to LA to be close to her family also. Freddie was the commodity and had the right to say no. I also think his agent failed to do due diligence and realize Olson could be got for less and is five years younger.
OK here is a thought. Maybe I am the only one who thinks this is a good idea. Trade Acuna now. The team could get top return on him right now. He has not contributed to the team in a season and a half. He looks lazy in the field, at the plate and on the bases. He has a crappy attitude and I think he is a bad influence in the clubhouse. His at bats and fielding in the last two series have sucked. The team won a world championship without him and can easily do without him now. The team could probably get a very productive position player, some bullpen help and some salary help if they trade him while the iron is hot. For Riley to be left out of the AS game and this waster to be starting is a joke. JMO.
Riley to be left out of the AS game
You follow it closer than I do but I am still no fan of Attituda.
He was carrying the team last year before he got hurt. He hit 24 homers with 52 RBIs in 82 games last year before getting hurt. He hasn't played as well this year, but he has been recovering from the injury and probably somewhat hesitant to go all-out until he's 100% certain the injury has healed.
He's signed to a massively club-friendly contract (10 years for $124 million) that is cheap now and will be even cheaper in relation to other players as each year passes.
