Boston ‘Straight Pride’ parade

I read the article, because I heard they were going to have the parade, but did not know how it went. Of course anything not liberal will be rioted by the liberals since they are so tolerant. :nono:

What I read from the organizer, John Hugo, was more interesting. Below is a link and below that John Hugo's comments

Super Happy Fun America’s website said Saturday’s march was designed to “spread awareness of issues impacting straights.”
It quoted the group’s president, John Hugo, as describing heterosexuals as “an oppressed majority.”

Massachusetts was the first US state to legalize same-sex marriage.

But the parade had a clear political slant too, as participants walked alongside pro-Trump floats. The group’s website displays a doctored photo of Trump holding a sign saying #GreatToBeStraight.

A “Straight Pride” rally held the previous weekend in Modesto, California attracted only a few dozen people and about 250 counter-protesters, according to local newspaper The Modesto Bee.

John Hugo
My name is John Hugo and I am the primary organizer of the Straight Pride Parade. There is a lot of false information being put out by the leftist media. So please let me clear up a few things.

When I ran for Congress last year nobody called me a Nazi or white supremacist and I am outraged that this false narrative is being advanced by certain news outlets.

Our parade was inclusive and anyone could march so long as they showed mutual respect. We also had a lot of Jewish people marching with us. We support Israel and were happy to have them fly their Israeli flags as we marched together. The idea that they were Jew Nazi's is preposterous. As far as the "white supremacist" baloney being pushed by most of the mainstream media - all you would have to do is look at our rally at the Boston City Hall stage. 6 out of 8 speakers were black conservatives. We even had a rapper J Notes Justice who delighted the crowd with his Straight Pride Rap.

Note the media likes to show Antifa protesting against us but not our stage show. Furthermore we had Milo Yiannapolous as our grand Marshall and speaker. Milo is both gay and Jewish. There is nothing wrong with celebrating traditional values and the protesters from the LGBT community who demand tolerance of their lifestyles showed us no tolerance at all. All of the anti-Semitism was on the other side.

Another false narrative being pushed is that we were involved in "clashes." That is completely false. 100% of the arrests were on the other side. We just wanted to walk down the street and have a few speeches. It should not have taken that massive police presence to do so. There should be room for a second opinion in Boston. Apparently the establishment disagrees.

I still think it's a bad idea. It's lowering to the other side's standards.

And they are giving the media and liberals more fodder to attack us.

I agree... I would never attend a parade for any agenda cause.

Fourth of July and Christmas Parades are ones we have watched in the past. Years ago before celebrating the 4th, or Christmas was "political"... when the kids were small.

The left looks for events to ship in their ugly protesters, and the "straight parade" gives a perfect optic for them.

I remember when the Dallas parade was having a hard time keeping KKK organizations from marching in the Parade. The KKK was infiltrating many parades in the South... we have gone from one extreme to the other in this nation. But it is all hate.
