Ben Carson on defunding police: People will 'realize how irrational it is'

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson called the idea of defunding police departments "irrational," and claimed that even people who are calling for it now will realize it in time.

In watching the actual proposals trickle in, it's an ingenious way to get the law and order crowd to pay for social programs. It's a funding diversion scheme. With money being fungible, even federal dollars could be involved. They will soon be accepting those federal dollars while simply diverting their own resources to the liberal wish list. Brilliant in it's simplicity.
