Anyone else watching the NY fireworks on TV????

And think about how much money is going up in smoke?? It's been going on for over an hour. Bunches and bunches over and over. They are very pretty but dang, isn't NY shy on cash these days??

I've watched it before. The show is fabulous! But has to cost 100s of thousands dollars! That doesn't even take into account extra police officers, clean up crew, etc.

Of course it's a waste, but the voters expect it. This is how a lot of spending continues: people like the idea of cutting spending in the abstract, but once you cite something specific...no.

I enjoy watching fireworks. Last night I posted some photographs of fireworks. But I would never spend my own money on them.

No. I always stay home. Husband and son go, but unless (like you stated in another post) it is Walt Disney or similar I would rather not be in a mess of people watching lights in the sky.

epcot was the only disney park's fireworks I did not enjoy... I never saw animal kingdom's ...idk if they even have one

Epcots are different throughout the year. Some I like, others not so much. Animal Kingdom does not because of the animals. Everyone should see Fantasmic. It is incredible. I love watching the ones at MK from one of the restaurants. It makes for such a nice evening.

But Fox, he's empowered by the STATE OF GEORGIA as part of being in the GA. Sheriff's Assoc. So he really has STATE wide jurisdiction. Just saying.

True, but I'm up in Cleveland and I don't think he'd come all the way up here to see if I was playing with fireworks. Besides, he don't scare me!

Use to go to Cleveland all the time when I worked the jail. We had prisoners boarded at the White Co jail and would make that trip at least once a week, along with going to the Towns/Union County jail. So you never know about GC, he might surprise ya!
