MARIETTA – The arrival time for Marine Cpl. Todd Love, who lost both of his legs and an arm in an IED explosion in October 2010, has been pushed back to 3 p.m. Saturday, his father Gary Love said this afternoon.

Love, 20, will travel from Walter Reed Medical Center outside Washington, D.C., where he has been recovering from his injuries and several surgeries since November 2010, to McCollum Airport in Kennesaw Saturday.

After he arrives, there will be a reception for the Kell High School graduate at Dallas Landing Park, 5120 Allatoona Drive, off Main Street in Acworth next to Lake Allatoona.

A processional, led by the Patriot Guard, several military support groups, local motorcycle groups and the Acworth Police Department, will escort Love to the reception. The route to Dallas Landing will be Old US 41 through downtown Kennesaw and downtown Acworth.

According to a statement released by the city of Acworth, parking will be limited at Dallas Landing Park, so the city is asking people to park in and around downtown Acworth and walk to the park, which is a short distance away.
