However if the same standards used on Trump...
Were used on ANY major DEM... there would be an up-roar in the media that would silence even a space shuttle launch!

Can anyone say 'double standard'???
 
Of course there is a double standard. This surprises no one. The media is liberal and will always favor democrats.

However, the double standard doesn't just exist with liberals. I'm old enough to remember a time when many conservatives chastised Obama for talking about bombing other countries before doing so and about announcing an exit date for Iraq. I don't hear some of those same people giving Trump grief for doing the same thing with Syria.

So, one of the reasons I thought Trump would be an interesting wild card of a president is the other leaders would be on their toes because Trump is so crazy. Other dictators could not predict what Trump would do or wouldn't do... which I thought might keep them on good behavior.

Trump is threatening bombs - will he or won't he? Just like the tariff thing with China... he said that on the campaign trail. Poor deals were negotiated in the past, he is trying to make other countries blink and pull down the tariffs they have on our goods.

Will any of it work? I don't know. You have to be an awful big egomaniac to be a dictator, and they are just as unstable and erratic and Trump.

Ross Perot, another egomaniac said NAFTA would cost the US jobs... and indeed it did..

I am not altruistic enough to want to help other nations at the expense of our own, whether it is in Trade or US Aid. For instance we still send aid money to Beijing. We borrow from China and give some of that money back to China, so it’s a loan with interest. This is an expensive way to do business.

I like having a leader who thinks about Americans first. My kid's generation was raised to think Americans were bad, stingy, racist, earth polluting, you fill in the blank with a negative. It is time to stop apologising to the world, stop letting the 9th circuit tear apart our constitution. Instead we need to be the unique county our constitution was written to protect us as stable nation that would allow it's citizens to live without fear.

I know people from Syria, and Iraq... and they have nightmares about being bombed. Our government is supposed to keep us safe, not fight for "social justice"
