I voted today

Is there just the one race on the ballot? That usually helps the lines a lot.
Yes, one race, Heisman Trophy Winner, the legendary Herschel Walker vs a false teacher, wife beater and snake oil salesman Raphael Warnock...

We passed by the Lost Mountain Rec Center Saturday, the line was all the way out to the parking lot. No thanks, I'll vote the morning of the election.

What is this line mentioned and who would use such a thing?

Hmmm, this begs of another question.....with all the push towards term or age limits for politicians should there also be a maximum age limit for voters?

(Relax, I'm just kidding...but...)

Oh, so you only tell people you're elderly when it's a matter of convenience. I have some news for you. I don't use the elderly line when I vote up here. There is no elderly line here. :dancing:
That's because everyone up there is old.

Actually, I didn't realize we were in the elderly line until I got almost to the door, couldn't see a sign until then. And I thought..."I'm not gonna move now".

I told the official I was 65 but my "she" (my wife) was not. He replied "your daughter can go with you".

Smart arse...

65+ is the fastest-growing age demographic here. I'm not kidding either. There are no decent-paying jobs here for the younger adults, so they leave. Our high school has a great STEM program, but unfortunately, there is nothing here that would benefit from having them after graduation.

Went and voted this afternoon, the place was pretty packed. The back parking lot was almost full with a traffic jam waiting for the handicap spaces. Paulding Deputies were on hand to direct traffic and keep things civil. Us old folks had to wait in line outdoors to keep things organized indoors. It all moved along smoothly and we got out of Watson complex in about 30 minutes, but there were more people there than I have ever seen before. It reminded me of a stepped on Fire Ant hill.
On a side note, my son refused to go vote,,, again! It is my understanding that a homeowner has the right to punch anything or anyone in his home without the fear of legal repercussions. Is that true? Asking for a friend.

My wife and I went and voted today. We waited about 15 minutes in line. While waiting though, we watched this couple who appeared in their 80s enter. She was on oxygen and he was pushing her big oxygen tank. They put them right in the front of the line. We thought that was nice. I think I'll buy a walker at a thrift store and use it the next election.

j/k
