2020 polls tighten: Trump narrows gap with Biden as campaign chief credits coronavirus briefings

I doubt this is the reason, I would guess several factors. Disgust over how the Democrats have handled certain things, the recovering economy, and news getting out that Biden is mentally unfit to be president.

One thing the Democrats always seem to forget about is the aspect of security. Women, in particular, but others as well put a lot of importance into the security of them and their families. In the past, it's been more about being safe from outside forces, but now I think it's about being afraid of inside forces. The Democrats have created a security threat to us by allowing and even encouraging the race wars and the violent protests. This just might backfire on them.

Here's Biden's response to the jobs report, "It did not have to be this bad. We are in a deeper economic hole than we should be because of Donald Trump’s historic failure to respond to the pandemic, and the pace of recovery has now slowed because of Trump’s continuing inability to come up with a plan to control the virus. ... Trump’s surrender to the pandemic has led to a resurgence of the virus and more economic pain and anxiety for millions of Americans. After six months of a nation in crisis, he still has no plan to get us through."

It didn't have to be this bad he says? It would have been worse if Biden had been president. Just look how he came out against the China travel bans. Heck, Biden would have continued to allow Chinese into the country.

"We are in a deeper economic hole than we should be ... " Is he serious? He's all for shutting the economy down; just look at how he stays in his basement. He was all in favor of a lock down and believes states opened too soon.

The pace of recovery has slowed? This whole statement of his is in response to the jobs report; a report that shows 1.8 million jobs were added in the US last month. Since states have opened back up, employers have had a very difficult time hiring new employees because of the $600 a week federal unemployment benefit. That benefit along with the state unemployment benefits took away the incentive for many Americans to return to work because they were getting more money in unemployment benefits than what they had earned before the shutdown. It's why the Democrats in Congress want to continue that federal unemployment benefit. They don't want people to return to work. They want people to be dependent upon the government because power over the people is what matters to them most.

Trump isn't able to come up with a plan to control the virus? What's amazing is Biden laid out his plan to control the virus. It was pretty much the same plan Trump has been using. Biden once again plagarizes someone else's work.

Accusing Trump of surrendering to the virus is ludicrous. Trump has been out in public, holding regular press conferences, traveling across the country; all while Biden remains in his basement. It appears to me it is Biden who has surrendered to the virus.

Biden is a joke and so is the Democratic Party. When the economy began making significant rebounds following the tax cuts and removing regulations that had been killing job growth; the Dems publicly cried out for a new recession to occur. I had never seen a political party before during my lifetime publicly wish for a recession. That alone should have shown every American the Democratic Party does not give a rat's ass about the people in this country.

I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or an insult....how difficult can it really be?

Polls are definitely tightening!

It will be interesting to see the poll results taken after Trump has signed those executive orders today.
