This ain't good folks. Russia's natural gas supply to Germany (the Nord pipeline) has been sabotaged, (possibly by the Biden Administration). Putin could escalate the conflict and he has threatened to push the nuclear button. What's he got to lose?
 
Nuclear would be his last choice. He's got hackers with fingers in a lot of our infrastructure. If it even thinks we might have done this, we could find our lights going out with Europe.

If we (Biden Administration) did this, I'd turn them over to the world court as Terrorists. There is no excuse for this.

Biden pretty much said he would take action against the Nortdstream pipeline.

Q: What other nation would have done this ??

Russia - nope
Germany - nope
France - nope
China - Don't think so

Interesting stuff. I could definitely see the Russians in charge ignoring the pipeline for all this time.

And if they decided to de-pressurize one pipeline, might as well do both to save time. Then not be able to re-pressurize the other in time if they figured out what happened.

You know, this "accident during maintenance" theory is growing on me.

A week ago, Putin knows he is planning on doing his fake "vote" on going Russia for the area he wants to annex. (He wanted the whole country, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen)
So, he's planning (like he did) to sign paperwork annexing the area.
He then declares victory to his followers and being magnanimous, announces he plans on turning on the pipeline immediately as a show of good faith.
So, he's calls Gazprom management and says, "Comrades, have zee pipelines ready to go next week."

So what would Gazprom management do? They would panic knowing the shape the pipelines are in and start doing emergency maintenance because they DON"T want to be the one to tell Putin that the pipe can't be turned on.

A little panic, some stupidity added in, and BOOM.

Yep, and now he can try blaming the USA for bombing them.
 
My wife and I were watching a news story last night about the war in Ukraine and saw something that was disturbing. The leader (Patriarch) of the Russian Orthodox Church was speaking to a congregation. The patriarch goes by the name Kirill. He said Putin is a great man with the goal of destroying Nazis around the world. This message he was giving was going out to all members of the Russian Orthodox Church. He went on to say men serving in the Russian army who are killed in this war will automatically go to Heaven because they died doing God's work.

My wife decided to do some research on Kirill. Kirill believes the Jews are the anti-Christ and must be destroyed. His message also includes Putin's goal is to destroy democracy in the western will because they are diverse and support homosexuality. This sounds like Nazism to me. Kirill's message is being spread to all the Russian Orthodox churches around the world. They have 400 parishes outside of Russia with an estimated 400k members. There are forty-five of these churches in the US with more than 80k members. These churches have attracted the neo-Nazis in the US because the church supports their views on race and homosexuality.

72% of Russians are orthodox Christians and explains why the majority of Russians support Putin. Well, except the 200k who have fled Russia since Putin's announcement he was conscripting 300k more Russian males into the army to fight in Ukraine.

Oddly, I never think of Russians as being very religious.
