The Mandate

How about this for a solution... Vaccinate everyone with their choice of the top 4 available. Wait 30 days and inject everyone with Covid-19 Alpha thru Mu and let everyone deal with the mild, mild, mild case that they will get. Then everyone is tested for anti-bodies and given an anti-body magic ring or tattoo, (your choice), to wear in public as proof of your total inability to get the disease... but you still have to wear a mask and stay six feet apart, just as a precaution for the next three years.

Save this for 2022, I'm sure one of the candidates will push a similar model. Then you can sue them for copyright infringement (only kidding).

And yet, they don't put hospital workers at greater risk. And again, when is the last time pre-COVID that there were multiple hospitals ICUs filling up and denying additional patients or putting off surgeries?

;)
Unvaccinated pose no additonal risk to the vaccinated...

Unless you are saying that the vaccines don't work ???

:dunno:

Not true. As I mentioned previously, unvaccinated folks in the hospital pose a risk to hospital workers whether they are vaccinated or not.

They do work. Current percentages of vaccinated vs unvaccinated that are very sick or dying proves that. Are they 100%? Nope. Are they effective? Yep.

The vaccinated are able to become infected and transmit the virus just like the unvaccinated...

The vaccine only protects you !!!

Exactly. It's all fun and games until it starts hitting close to home. Obesity, smoking, drinking, sitting at home on your arse without exercising, driving without insurance, eating two McRibs with a large fry and large soda, having abortions and elective surgeries, and being a general DA affects all of us by taking up scarce medical resources as well as resulting in higher insurance premiums. That's only a partial list of life choices and each have been a drain on society for years without drawing any concern or notice from the goobermint. I'll add gun ownership as well, doesn't that pose a health risk to the public?

(No I'm not serious...but it will eventually be on the mandate list)

Again, it does not seem to be a valid vaccine.

They are saying it is "protection"... until it is not... as the two fully vaccinated people that I know who got Covid 3 weeks ago prove... same symptoms as the people I know who got covid last year, who did not have the jabs... no reason to have the jab.

I don't even know now why I bothered getting the vaccine. I do not plan on getting a third jab :ninja:

We need the herd immunity of us actually having Covid to get rid of Covid for good, I am afraid. So Honey Bunny, GD and others of you who had it are our hope of Covid disappearing... but I think it will be with us as flu and colds are.

We need to turn off the news and get back to work. Can't sit in a dark closet hiding from Covid. The world must forge on.

So the vaccine worked?

It apparently didn't in this case.
The article has the information that:
  • There have been 1,728 hospitalizations for fully vaccinated Illinois residents, with 432 deaths
Any other vaccine that allows 1728 people to still get the virus would not be counted as a vaccine.

As I said, I don't know why I bothered to get a bogus shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many of them had the delta variant? How many had the J&J vaccine?

Okay.... the big question here is: What is the overall severity of the cases?

If someone has a low-grade fever and a stuffy nose for two days and then recovers, it's a completely different deal than a 3 week stay in acute care.

There's alway going to be an outlier or two and the media does a good job of finding those individuals and bringing them to our attention.

I know 3 more fully vaccinated people who got Covid. Theirs was the Covid -2, which is the Delta. They were sick from around August 27 to September 14th.

The ages are 80's, 50's, 60's. The 80 year old was the dad of the woman in her 50's. The Woman had some problems and did go to the hospital because her pulse ox went into the 80s. (They had the at home finger monitor device.) The hospital did breathing treatments, oxygen, and steroids. The were going to do the monoclonal antibody treatment, then there were other people worse off in the hospital who needed it and the hospital did not have enough for her, but said she would be next. While she waited, she started to feel better and was discharged never getting/needing the treatment.

Her 80 year old dad and husband in his 60's did much better than her, not needing to go to the hospital and seemed to have a milder case, but all three had it for about 20 days... so longer than the 7-10 days that many I knew who had it last November/December. They said they are still struggling with the fatigue.

I also found out my employee who got Covid, their 7 year old also caught it from them. No complications.

That makes 5 fully vaccinated who were sick just shy of 3 weeks, and still struggling with the fatigue.

Of interest...a friend of mine who owns several fast food locations is strongly considering selling enough of her stores to get below the 100 employee threshold. Reason being...they are already having a terrible time getting enough help to keep the doors open, and she expects the mandate to make that much worse.

The bulk of her employees are black and Hispanic, and most will quit to avoid getting the vaccine. This mandate, if it stands, will send shock waves through the economy.

Yep... very glad we are around 25 employees and do not have to worry for now..

We have a handful who are not vaxed, I think they would quit before getting a the vax. They are persons of color.

I would estimate just shy of 2/3 of our employees have had covid. Many who had covid also got vaxed.

However the vaccine did not matter anyway, a fully vaxed 23 year old at work got covid... and they do not know where they got it from. They did not expose any other employees thank goodness.

They are conditioning us to see our freedom as selfish.

If not everything in your life is altruistic, you are a bad person.

Of course the "they" are still traveling, having galas, and award shows.

I'm done.
