Another homeless vent

We were at Kroger on 278 in Dallas, in broad daylight and this guy hanging out on the sidewalk was hitting folks up for donations as they left the store. Big sad eyes and a long sad story about his money and clothes being stolen and blah blah blah. He even called me an azzhole when I wouldn't give him any change. This has royally ticked me off. I even complained to the Kroger corporate office and I made a call to the Dallas Police.

I NEVER let my wife go out alone at night due to the crazies, but now, I'm seriously worried about letting her go off in broad daylight. The police needs to step up their game and run the riff raff out of town.

My bet is that he's not homeless unless by choice. He's probably just a panhandler.

When I was an Army recruiter stationed in downtown Lansing, MI; Another recruiter and I were walking to a cigar store. We walked by a panhandler and ignored him, but we noticed he was wearing expensive cologne. While walking back to the recruiting station, we noticed he was gone. We went back the next day about the same time to see if he was there. He was so we observed him from a distance and then followed him as he walked away. He went into a parking garage and drove away in a newer Cadillac. Not long after that, I was reading the newspaper and there was an article about panhandlers. It said panhandlers operating in larger cities were making around $50K a year. This was in 1983 and $50K then would be worth about $129K in today's dollar.

Who sells pans at a good price?

There's a woman who scams people in Hiram all the time. She first hit me up at Target, but I got a weird vibe from here and declined. She hot me up two more times on later occasions, the last time being at Walmart. I reported her to security and they were talking to her as I was leaving.

She always has the same story...trying to get to work in Rockmart but out of gas.

I was again at Kroger yesterday (278/61), in the parking lot and I was approached by a lady asking for money...apparently her story was she was lost and needed gas money. Sorry Charlie... I don't just open my wallet and hand out Benjamin's to strangers. Big sad eyes and long sad story...it's getting old.

Does Kroger have security or not? The local po-po surely won't run the deadbeats out to Rockmart.

Getting rid of homeless is hard. You chase them off and they come back. With today's styles it is hard to tell a hipster from the homeless until you are close enough to smell them. You hate to tell the wrong person to leave.

If people would stop giving panhandlers money, they would go away.

Who does not drive past a busy intersection where each day there is a new panhandler... and people consistently give them money... they make lots of money. If no one gave money, they would stop standing there.

We don't want her out there. There's already a large homeless population in Rockmart and Aragon. Don't need no mo.

Are they hiring ?

Quit calling them homeless and start calling them what they really are...alcoholics and drug addicts. They have made their choices. They would rather have a gut filled with alcohol or drugs running thru their veins than have a good square meal and a warm place to live.
Panhandlers just as bad. Will tell you a lie without blinking.
Quit giving these liars money.
