YouTube TV???

I've been looking at this streaming TV service. All the normal channels (except DIY and HGTV) for $25/mo with no contract. Nothing from Turner, which is another big plus. :)

Anyone with any experience with them?

Me and U-Verse are about to come to blows.

I do not have any personal experience, but a few of my sons friends have started using YouTube tv and they like the service. Between that and Netflix they seem to have all of what they want.

After looking at it, it seems pretty good. Just make sure that whatever internet connection you have is reliable and has enough data included so that you don't go over.

Been debating getting a Kobi box, or loading it on a refurb Amazon Fire. I know there is some "not" legal content available, wouldn't be interested, but a lot of legal stuff that can play on one. I believe the Youtube channel is one of them.

We also have Uverse ... it has it's good days and bad days.

I've been wondering about it too. The fact that you get the local networks is a big plus. I'm paying $105 a month at the cabin for 40 Mbps internet and fairly basic cable with no ESPN. For years, we were apparently getting channels we weren't supposed to get and when they did some work at the box out front we lost them. I called raising sand when they disappeared only to find out I wasn't paying for them. What we have now makes cable not such a deal.

Youtube TV is a great value especially since you get all the local Atlanta broadcast channels. The biggest downside is that they dont have an app for it for all streaming devices. They really want you to have a Google Chromecast (v2 not the original one) on whatever TV you want to watch it on. You basically use your phone or tablet and you "Cast" the channel you want to watch to your TV. It is not that difficult or bad to do. I expect Google to add an app to other providers like Roku, Apple TV and Fire stick before long. If you dont need all the channels that Comcast and DirecTV offer, Youtube TV is a bargain!

NOTE: You do need decent Internet speed as this is a streaming offering only. I would not want to watch this with less than 100 Mb internet speed. I dont think you would be too happy with buffering issues. :)

Android allows you to cast your screen to compatible devices, and Roku and Fire TV are among those. I haven't found anything I can't cast to the TV that way, but it does show the whole screen, which can be distracting if something isn't in full screen.

I imagine that the other tabs with the porn urls can be distracting.
