Milwaukee police say three people are dead in connection with an incident that began as a fatal accident and turned into a double shooting.
It happened in the 4600 block of N. 48th Street on Sunday, April 12th just after 5:00 p.m. Police had much of Wahl Park blocked off as they worked the scene.
Police say an initial investigation has revealed a two-year-old child ran into the street and was struck by a vehicle.
The 41-year-old man who was driving remained at the scene.
Police say the driver and a 15-year-old boy were then shot. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police say he died during surgery.

From reports it appears that the child ran into the street so the driver wasn't at fault and tried to the right thing by stopping. I hope they find whomever shot the driver and passenger and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
 
Such a sad story. Sad that the child was hit, sad that the driver lost his life after not fleeing the scene, and sad that an innocent passenger lost their life for absolutely no reason. I think I'm going to built a taller fence around my yard and just stay home. People done gone cray cray.
 
This is horrible. Just horrible.

And if he had "hit and run" he would have been arrested but still alive. What a shame.
