When loved ones die . . .

Here's another thing I believe, and it's just based upon personal experience. I do believe that as you near death the Heavens open to welcome you home, and I do believe you'll glimpse in and see your loved ones before you fully depart this earth. I've witnessed several that were close to me calling out to those who've gone before in their final moments.

I've seen and heard of this happening on several occasions too. Like when my dad told me that my mom came to see him while he was in the hospital (she died about two years before him). He died about three days later. Or when the hubby's grandmother continually talked to her sister who had been deceased for several years - she saw her deceased sister Sally at the foot of her bed and would talk to her while we were sitting in the room with her.

I love this thread. I was beginning to think that I was the only one that didn't believe that we became angels when we died....other than my church family.

I also agree with Grey about the animals. Humans are the only ones with a soul, so we will be the only ones to enter Heaven.

Now, one that wasn't mentioned is, I don't believe that a person goes directly to heaven when they die. I believe that is reserved for after the Jesus returns and after the judgment. I believe that, either we remain in the grave when we die, or there's a place that we all go until after the judgment. Why should we all enjoy the pleasures of Heaven, sinner and saint?

Here is my 0.2.
When my mom passed away hurricane Francine hit Fl. We had the service, but they weren't able to bury her until the next week. We said she was getting onto the two brothers that passed away before her, and telling God how to run things. Anyway, mom is not an angel, she is to busy bossing everyone around. (JK) I do think that she is visiting with all the family, and friends that have gone before her. I also know she is rejoicing in just being in his presence.
I was concerned with being cremated. But, Mom said because we get a new body we would have no use for our old body. So, that wouldn't be an issue.
As far as our pets. Look if Billy Graham believes that our pets will be there, that's good enough for me.
