Waski - I was as gentle as possible

To preface...I still have to work out in the field at times, so I keep one of the older service trucks at home stocked with tools and parts. I had to go out tonight for the first time in awhile, so I went to fire up the truck. I keep a battery charger on it to keep it charged up. So I raised the hood to disconnect the charger, and I noticed all this grassy stuff packed in on the front of the engine where the belts are. A flashlight revealed that it was a squirrel nest, with babies in it. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something run under the truck, and then mama climbed up into the engine compartment to fuss at me.

I had to move them. They would have been potted meat as soon as I started the engine. So I put some gloves on and gently dug them out of the nest and took them over to the edge of the woods where mama was hanging out. Those little guys hollered like cray when I picked them up. But once I moved away, mama came and got them and took them somewhere. So hopefully, they are OK.

I'm glad you were gentle, but it would have been better to refuse the call. Just let them know squirrels moved into your truck so you can't make it out.

My hubby is an exterminator and the other night he was spraying a sweet little ladies house and while he was spraying around the porch a baby squirrel was sitting on the porch staring at him and squealing at him. He kept watch on it and the lady asked if he could move it cause she told him it kept trying to get in the house.. :laugh So hubby just used his glove to try and shoo it off the porch. It went running off and that was that.

While he was giving the lady the receipt it came back up on the porch and stood staring at up at my hubby. He said it was the strangest thing. The lady was like, that thing thinks its a pet I think. She then said do you think you could pick it up and take it across the street to the woods? So he did. He said it was scrambling trying to climb up his arms :laugh He took it across the street and when he tried to put it down, it climbed up one arm and across his shoulders to his other arm and just sat there. He finally got it off his arm and the dang thing followed him back across the street to his truck :laugh He said when he started his truck, it ran back up to the porch and sat there watching him :laugh :laugh He said well I tried..and left it sitting there. The lady said well guess I'll feed it and just leave it be :laugh

I saved them from unsafe living conditions (a spinning radiator fan).

I'm with Waski on this one. You should have told rolltidega to suck it up or to bring the a/c to you and just left the family alone.

Bring an entire A/C unit to GD? I may have been hitting the gym but even that would be impressive.
