Busy animal hospital in Powder Springs, GA has a full time Kennel Assistant position available. This person MUST be experienced with handling dogs and cats which are boarding. Duties will include: baths & nail trims, walking dogs and cleaning kennels, cleaning cat cages, feeding and medicating the animals, laundry, cleaning floors and changing bedding, assist the veterinary assistant & doctors when needed. Must be able to follow directions, protocols and communicate with the doctors and other staff members. Needs to be energetic and have the potential for leadership. Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays. We offer great benefits including paid vacation, sick time, health insurance, life insurance, vision insurance and an IRA. QUALIFIED candidates will be considered first over non qualified applicants. References will be checked and pre-employment drug screening is mandatory.
