Unbelievably Slow Postal Service...or it should. ::)

I ordered something online and it was shipped from Baltimore, MD which is about 3 hrs from Richmond. I received an email which said it shipped on Monday and expected delivery was 1-3 days so I was expecting it for sure by Thursday. No pkg. I checked the tracking # and it was sent USPS. It got to the sorting center in Sandston which is just outside of R and sat in that facility for 2 days.

2 days!

They keep getting slower and the rates keep going up. Ordering online sometimes is not such a bargain after paying shipping but there are some things I just can't even find in a town the size of R.

*rant over*

that is all

If their niche wasn't protected by federal law, they would have ceased to exist lang ago.

The USPS is inconsistent, at best. I sent a certified letter to a customer, who lives here in Rockmart, and it took 10 days for them to get it. I can drive from one end of Rockmart to the other in less than 10 minutes. I'm still confused about how it took them so long.

Take away their exclusivity to mail boxes and first class mail, and UPS and FedEx would eat their lunch.

But without taxes who would deliver little pieces of paper?

Yeah, can't do anything without the government.

When I had to send stuff important, it *always* went UPS. I did not like FedEx (plus their delivery guy was creepy). I love UPS.
