I support Trump on this one.

The U.S. Armed Forces is not and has never been the place for political correctness and social engineering. Obama's policy on this caused a lot of problems withing the ranks and leadership alike, and many in the militay were furious with the changes in protocol that came with it.

The C in C should set the parameters and objectives of the military and let the commanders do their jobs without having to play politics. Trump's reversal of this lets them return to that, as this issue is concerned.

Privately owned companies can have whatever policy on this they want. But let's not burden the military with this kind of stuff.

Opinions?

It should have never been allowed in the first place and should be a non-topic. Thank you Trump for making America's military great(er) again!!!

WAIT JUST A SECOND...did I miss something here or did he just make a conservative decision?

I'm not sure it's a conservative decision, but it is the right decision. Obama only allowed it because it played into the Democrat's strategy of using emotional issues to buy votes.

I agree with this decision to bar transgenders from military service. As GD said the military should not be an organization used for social experimentation. Unfortunately, as soon as there is another Democrat in the White House, that president will allow them to do so and also allow them to have gender reassignment surgery at the tax payer's success.

Wanna cause complete panic and chaos among the Snowflake group...just mention the word draft.
Didja notice that women can perform in combat roles but are still exempt from the draft? Some did. Rand Paul mentioned that they shouldn't have it both ways in a backdoor effort to end the draft completely and they went apoplectic. They not only want it both ways, they demand it both ways. Equal but special.

He has a point.

Nevermind I was wrong

My BIL was accepted to pilot school until they discovered an ear issue. He tried multiple times to obtain a waiver but they refused and he was released. He, to this day, resents the fact that he couldn't follow his passion but understands the reasons behind their decision. He went to Purdue and is now an Engineer so it worked out well for him anyway.

People think it's easy to get into the military and maybe years ago it was, but not today.....they are very selective.

I was a recruiter for three years. There was a young lady who wanted to enlist, but she was medically rejected being 6" tall. At that time the height limit for women was 5'10" and for men it was 6'7". I had young men medically rejected on a temporarily for athlete's foot. They could go back and take the physical after it went away. BTW if you ever get that, just soak your feet in a basin of Pinesol and water for about an hour and it will be gone in about 24-48 hours.

Personally, and please understand that there is nothing but love in my heart as I state this; but I think most transgenders are struggling with a mental illness. Some studies I've read would seem to support my theory.

I truly believe that instead of embracing the transgender movement, we should be concentrating on what causes these people to be unhappy in their own skin.

Gastritus. Well, now we know why Colson isn't in there.

Pishaw!

Before I relocated down here, I went through the enlistment process with the Air Force. I didn't initially pass the physical because I had acne on my back. Of course I was just 18. I had to go to a specialist to get approved. I remember him saying the reason for their concern was because I'd be carrying a heavy back pack during training, but since I'd be in San Antonio it wouldn't be a problem in the dry heat. He said he wouldn't have approved me going to Paris Island if I had joined the Marines. I didn't complete the entire process because I was told I had a job at RCA where my father worked at the time.

Point being, as some have said, it's never been super easy to get into the military. This is much-a-do about nothing. Such behavior as "transgender" should not be and has never been tolerated in a military setting. This is nothing more than noise from the liberal grievance industry.
