I couldn't believe it when I heard they were remaking John Wayne's movie True Grit. I've read some reviews for it and everyone seems to be saying the same thing, that it's better than the original. What, Jeff Bridges better than John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn? The talk is, this role could give Bridges his second Best Actor award.

Matt Damon is playing the role Glen Campbell originally played, but the word is they sissyfied the role for Damon. Now I think that's funny since Damon is politically far to the left, so it fits. Sissyfying the role probably made it less challenging for his acting.

I'll have to go see this movie at the theater to see for myself how good it really is.
 
As I said elsewhere, the first thing wrong with the new True Grit movie is the word "new". I like Jeff Bridges and all, but no.

I was thinking the same thing. I like Jeff to, but John Wayne he ain't.
