Re: Slow going, but at least it\'s going

You can buy the grid in black.

Love the metallic tiles!

I thought I probably could, but neither Lowes or Deep Homo had it in stock. I thought I might save a buck er two by painting it. So far, it dries quickly and looks pretty good in the flat finish. I've only used 3 cans of spray paint for the whole grid. I may need can #4, but that's not too bad ;D Thanks

Nice, JR...real nice. I'm glad you're figuring out how to do everything because that way when you come do mine, you'll know what to expect. :D

Re: Slow going, but at least it\'s going

Is this a basement or a garage? I've been thinking of painting my garage floor (no basement). I have looked at the paint with the glass mixed in it to give it a sparkle effect. If it is sealed I wouldn't think paint would be a problem.

It's both (a drive-under garage with basement under the full footprint of the house, if it's like mine). Let me know what you find out. I like that look as well.

This is the garage, off of the mancave. I've considered all types of flooring, to include paint and stain. I have settled on the 18 inch square, hard rubber floor tiles. It will be more expensive, but I don't trust my ability to clean the concrete good enough for the paint. Sure as the world, I'll roll the Scream Machine in after a long, hot day and the paint will stick to the tires.

I could get the painting done professionally, but that would probably exceed the price of the floor tiles. I'm looking at another year EASY before I will have enough tiles, but they should be an easy and very attractive fix. 8)

Okay, I've got it. No way I would do paint myself. I haven't thought about tiles. I wouldn't want Black Beauty (I had to throw that in) messed up and it does get brutally hot here. I'll have to check that.

Thanks, Sis! HEY! That's a GREAT IDEA! I do have a model of the Starship Enterprise that I plan to display somewhere when I get to hanging stuff after painting. ;D
