Stupid Callers!!!!

Lately we have been getting A LOT of calls from random numbers from all over the country. I google the numbers, and they are all linked to some democaratic polling thing. It's an automated thing that says if you take a 30 second poll you'll get a free cruise for 2. I have never done this, as I never answer the house phone. BUT NOW THEY ARE CALLING OUR CELL PHONES!!! AND THEY JUST CALLED MY HOUSE THREE TIMES IN A ROW AND WOKE UP BABYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rant :rant :rant :rant :rant

That is all. Thank you.

I am so sorry. I know that is just maddening. We do not have our house ringer on because my husband goes to bed early. Heck, the only calls we get on the house phone anyway are sales or political. Everyone else calls our cells. (We can see the phone blinking if a call comes in and I can look at the number. Just in case it is someone I want to talk to. LOL)

He *just* fell asleep. We only have the phone for the alarm. No one ever calls at night, so I've never thought to turn the ringer off. Oh, I've been so mad. He's also teething, so that didn't help, either.

Our phone is just for the alarm too. I never had it off until it woke my husband one day! LOL...it went off that night!
Glad Baby B is back asleep. (Though I would still be a bit ticked too, especially if you add teething into the woke him up! :faint)

I got this call yesterday on my cell phone. So annoying, but it would be worse if I had a teething baby!

By chance was the # 970-660-5323? It's out of CO. but there is no info on who's number it is. I get about 5 or 6 calls a day from that number and they never leave a message. And I do not answer long distance #'s unless I know who they are. Too many sales calls......and bill collectors.

I'm sure I have at some point. The one last night was a 305 number, and showed up as Louisville, KY. The others have been from CA, PA, CO.

Ditto here...I NEVER answer the home phone, and ours is solely for the alarm system as well. Right now, I have it set for the computer fax to pick up after one ring, so they get a blast in the ear (assuming it's not a computer).

That's really weird. 305 is Miami, it used to be West Palm, but they moved it to Miami years ago. West Palm is 516 now.
Strange that it would say Louisville.
In any case, yes it would totally tick me off to have that going on. Especially if they call my cell.

Baby B needs a washcloth that has been wet then frozen. He will enjoy the roughness of the cloth, and the cold will soothe the gums.

What is a home phone, I do not have one anymore...When I get back to GA I will hook it up, they give you free 911 service there, unlike MD GRRR

I don't have a home phone either. Cell phones work just fine. When I had the home phone, it was all sell calls or bill collectors looking for my ex-wife. After we divorced, she kept my name. After she remarried, she still kept it. We disconnected the home phone and gained instant peace. Then, they started calling my Mother looking for her.

Good heavens. She sounds like a piece of work. I perceive that you took a giant step up with the Chief. ;)

Oh yeah, she is. Thank the Lord we didn't have children together. I met her new husband once and was tempted to tell him to run like hell. Guess he will just have to find out on his own.

The Chief and I dated for years. I had to make sure we had common goals and a common plan, before the M word. So far, so good.

EVERY couple should be so cautious...there'd be a lot fewer divorces, and also, a lot fewer marriages. :)
