Students love socialism, but can't define what it is

It was really telling of our public education system is indoctrinating students to believe socialism is a great thing, but not teaching them what it really is. When I was in high school, we study socialism and communism and learned both failed miserably where they were in practice. China, the USSR, and Cuba were the main examples of failure. We saw pictures and film of how the people in those countries were living; the long bread lines, the poor living conditions, people working on collective farms, etc. We had assemblies where people who escaped those countries would tell us how horrible life was in them. People were imprisoned in those countries for speaking out against the living and working conditions. Even today, we see in the news how people in China are sent to "re-education camps" or executed for speaking out against the government.

This video demonstrates how young people have been brain-washed into believing socialism is a good thing; yet not taught how to define it.
